Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using the Optima application. By creating an account, uploading photos, or using our AI styling services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Eligibility & Age Restriction (18+)
Optima is intended strictly for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By accessing Optima, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We enforce age verification upon onboarding. Minors are strictly prohibited from using the service or submitting facial photos.
2. AI Styling & Simulation Disclaimer
Optima provides AI-powered hairstyle, beard, and grooming simulations using computer vision and generative models. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Generated images are cosmetic visual simulations for personal reference only.
- Optima does not guarantee that a human barber or stylist can replicate generated results exactly.
- Optima is not responsible for real-world styling outcomes, haircuts, or grooming decisions.
3. User Content & Facial Photos
You retain ownership of all original photos you upload. However, by uploading content:
- You grant Optima a worldwide, royalty-free license to process your photo strictly to execute AI analysis, landmark detection, and styling generation.
- You represent that you own or have explicit consent from any person depicted in photos you upload. Uploading third-party photos without consent is strictly prohibited.
- When posting content to public feeds or community challenges, you grant Optima permission to display such content to other registered users.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload non-consensual imagery, NSFW content, or harassing photos.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit Optima AI pipelines or endpoints.
- Impersonate another individual or create fake user handles.
5. Purchases, Look Credits & Payment Terms
Optima offers both included monthly free allocations and one-time paid Look packs for AI styling generations:
- Monthly Free Allowance: Registered users receive 5 free Best Match generations each calendar month. Unused monthly free credits reset at the start of each month and do not roll over.
- Paid Look Packs: Purchased Looks (5, 10, or 20 packs) are one-time payments (not a recurring subscription). Paid Looks never expire and can be used on any style card.
- Merchant of Record: Payments are securely processed by our merchant of record partner (Dodo Payments). By completing a purchase, you agree to their payment terms and applicable local sales tax or GST.
- Refund Policy: Due to the immediate computing cost of AI generation, digital look credits are generally non-refundable once consumed. If a technical error prevents generation, contact support for credit restoration.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Optima and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the application, generated AI images, or third-party product recommendations.
