Optima respects your privacy. We process facial images strictly to deliver personal styling recommendations and generative previews. We do not sell facial recognition data, use your biometric features for surveillance, or train third-party facial recognition models on your captures.
1. Information We Collect
- Facial Imagery: Photos captured via live camera or gallery upload for grooming analysis.
- Facial Attributes: Non-biometric classifications such as face shape, hair density, texture, and facial hair style.
- Account & Profile Data: User handles, saved transformations, and feedback ratings.
- Technical Logs: Device type, IP address, and session tokens stored in browser local storage.
2. How We Process & Protect Your Photos
Your photos are ingested through a hardened single-gateway server pipeline and verified cloud AI providers:
- Automatic EXIF Stripping: All image metadata (including GPS coordinates, timestamps, and camera serial numbers) is stripped upon upload.
- Private Access Control: Original user selfies are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage buckets protected by database row-level security. They are never publicly indexed or accessible by unauthorized users.
- Encrypted Transmission: Uploaded photos and AI prompts are transmitted exclusively over encrypted TLS 1.3 connections.
- Zero Advertising Sales: We never sell your photos or facial measurements to third-party data brokers or advertisers.
3. Biometric Notice & In-Memory Analysis
Optima extracts temporary facial landmark geometry solely to composite haircut masks, detect face proportions, and align hairstyle previews. Landmark coordinates are evaluated strictly in-memory during real-time processing and are not stored as persistent biometric templates or government identity profiles.
4. Public Feed & Community Privacy
All generated style cards and photo transformations are strictly private by default. A transformation is only made discoverable on the community feed or user search if you explicitly choose to post it with a public profile handle. You may unshare or delete your community feed posts at any time.
5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
You have full control over your data. You may delete individual generated looks directly from your Style Journey, delete your account details, or request full data deletion at any time by emailing support@optima.style.
